Location benefits start with the appealing, well-supported environment of Plymouth, a community that blends rich history with modern healthcare excellence. You'll operate within a state-of-the-art diagnostic framework, collaborating with seasoned pathology teams in a setting that emphasizes quality, compliance, and patient-centered service. For those who crave variety and growth, there is an added opportunity to work in various locations across the U.S., exposing you to diverse laboratory platforms, instrumentation, and workflow models. This breadth of experience can accelerate your technical mastery, expand your professional network, and open doors to leadership paths in histotechnology, quality assurance, and laboratory operations. The arrangement is designed to respect your professional goals while offering competitive compensation, a supportive schedule, and the flexibility to extend or reassign as opportunities arise. In short, you gain the best of a steady, high-caliber role in a welcoming New England setting, with the excitement of nationwide assignments and the resources to make each place feel like home.
Role specifics and benefits are crafted to advance your career while delivering tangible rewards. You will lead or contribute to all essential histology workflows: documenting and processing specimens, performing accurate embedding and microtomy, executing routine H&E and special staining protocols, and confirming slide quality through stringent QC checks and instrument maintenance. You'll ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and internal SOPs, safeguarding specimen integrity and diagnostic reliability. As you grow, there are clear pathways to broaden your impact—taking on QA responsibilities, helping implement improved staining techniques, participating in method validation, and contributing to standardization efforts across facilities. The position offers competitive weekly pay in the range of $2,135 to $2,211, reflecting your experience and the scope of duties. A sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and extension opportunities are available to recognize your expertise and support your seamless transition. You'll also enjoy comprehensive support from a dedicated travel team with 24/7 availability, ensuring you're covered whenever you need guidance, scheduling tweaks, or on-the-ground help during assignments. In addition, you'll have access to continuing education allowances and mentorship programs designed to propel you toward advanced competencies and recognition within the histotechnologist specialty.
Company values center on empowering staff, fostering career advancement, and cultivating a genuinely supportive work environment. You'll join a culture that prioritizes professional growth, transparent leadership, collaborative problem solving, and an inclusive atmosphere where your contributions are recognized and celebrated. The organization commits to pairing you with resources and people who help you thrive—from onboarding and technical training to round-the-clock travel support and critical safety guidance. Your success is viewed as a shared achievement, and your development is supported with structured feedback, credentialing opportunities, and access to cutting-edge laboratory technologies. This is more than a job; it's a pathway to becoming a more proficient histotechnologist within a network that values your expertise, respects your autonomy, and invests in your long-term career.
Ready to apply? This is an exciting chance to join a company that values your contribution and prioritizes your professional development. The assignment is slated to begin on January 12, 2026, and runs for multiple weeks, with flexible extension options based on performance and facility need. If you're ready to bring precision, passion, and a patient-centered mindset to a dynamic histology team, you'll find ample room to grow, learn, and lead—alongside the reassurance of robust support, housing assistance, and a generous compensation package. Note: hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
