Position Overview

The Logistics and Sales Associate serves as the main point of contact for customer orders — from receipt to delivery. This role ensures accurate order entry, efficient scheduling, and clear communication between customers, carriers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to customer service in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Order Management:

  • Serve as the primary contact for customer orders, ensuring timely responses and professional communication.
  • Accurately enter, confirm, and update orders in the company system.
  • Provide customers with order status updates, delivery confirmations, and documentation as needed.
  • Coordinate with production, warehouse, and quality teams to confirm product availability and shipping schedules.
  • Maintain up-to-date pricing sheets, product information, and account records.
  • Resolve order discrepancies, shipment delays, and customer concerns with a focus on quick resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in maintaining strong relationships with distributors, brokers, and key accounts.

Logistics Coordination:

  • Schedule shipments and pickups for customer orders, ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping documentation for each order.
  • Communicate shipping details and special requirements with carriers and warehouse staff.
  • Track deliveries and follow up on any shipping or carrier issues until resolved.
  • Support inventory tracking and assist in reconciling outgoing shipments with finished goods inventory.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, order management, or inside sales, preferably within a food manufacturing, distribution, or logistics setting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with ERP or order management software preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Team-oriented and adaptable, with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Familiarity with USDA or food industry logistics is a plus, but not required.
