Splunk Engineer - Collaboration and Productivity (CAP)
Description
Candidate will take part in the analytics and reporting team, developing dashboards, reports, alerts, data feeds, and supportive documentation for stakeholders within the Collaboration and Productivity (CAP) organization. The role requires experience in all aspects of software development, as well as a proven track record of development of enterprise solutions. Candidate will be required to work with stakeholders directly to assess and gather work requirements, as well as prototype, test, and release tools per the business need(s). Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts, including line of business, business technology teams, operational support teams, various technology organizations, and vendors to develop and support design of Voice Recording solutions. Responsible for adhering to, owning, updating, and creating necessary security standards. Ownership of controls to ensure platform operates efficiently and flawlessly.
Responsibilities
• Assurance of regulatory compliance by using reporting and analytics tools built in Splunk Enterprise.
• Designs and develops dashboards, reports, alerts, and feeds for CAP-related applications, services, machines, and software.
• Develop, track, and release work through development life cycle; designing and conducting tests prior to production releases.
• Design metric analytics for use within financial and banking industry concerning communication logging and telephony events.
• Coordinate requirements, schedules, and activities that lead to delivery; contribute to weekly team meetings and standups; troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
• Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to Collaboration and Productivity environment.
Requirements
• At least 6-8 years of experience in financial or technology industry
• Specific knowledge and proven track record of software development
• Experience in all aspects of System Development Lifecycle
• Understanding of a large-scale Enterprise-level applications infrastructure
• Proficiency in Unified Communications Platforms, Middleware Communication platforms, micro services design, application security, high availability design, distributed systems, and multi-threaded programming
Technical Skills
• At least 6-8 years of experience with Splunk Enterprise
• Experience with creating dashboards, reports, alerts, saved searches, and automations as per user/stakeholder requirements
• Experience with configuring inputs and new connections with Splunk DB Connect
• Setup of new KVStores and building jobs to automate new data into them.
• Experience with configuring and indexing data from Splunk Forwarders
• Experience in configuring Splunk settings , , , , , , etc.)
• Experience in writing custom Javascript and CSS to create dashboard UI as per user needs
• Knowledge and experience in writing SQL queries.
• Field extractions using regular expressions.
• Experience with using JIRA/Kanban to manage upcoming and ongoing work.
• Experience with technical documentation (Confluence / Horizon preferred)
• Experience working with SDLC for engaging testing and releases.
