Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and analytically driven Senior Real Estate Portfolio & Asset Manager to oversee financial performance, leasing strategy, and long-term planning for a predominantly industrial commercial real estate portfolio that is partially owner-occupied.This is a senior, owner-side role with responsibility for portfolio-level financial analysis, lease negotiations, and asset optimization, as well as direct management of the Real Estate Operations & Maintenance Manager. You will work closely with executive leadership, legal counsel, brokers, lenders, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead portfolio-level financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting
  • Build and maintain property-level and consolidated financial models
  • Oversee and manage the Real Estate Operations & Maintenance Manager, providing direction, oversight, and performance management
  • Review and negotiate leases, renewals, amendments, and restructures
  • Coordinate with real estate attorneys, brokers, and consultants on transactions and legal matters
  • Analyze operating expenses, capital expenditures, and ROI on improvement projects
  • Conduct market analysis for industrial assets including rent comps, absorption, and redevelopment potential
  • Develop strategic recommendations regarding leasing strategy, acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing
  • Oversee broker agreements, LOIs, lease documents, and purchase/sale contracts
  • Partner with accounting on financial reporting using Microsoft Dynamics
  • Manage lender relationships and support refinancing, recapitalization, or portfolio-level financing initiatives
  • Present financial and strategic updates to ownership and executive leadership

Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, portfolio management, or owner-side investing
  • Strong background in industrial real estate preferred
  • Accounting and financial management background strongly preferred
  • CPA designation a plus
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics
  • Proven experience negotiating leases and managing relationships with attorneys and brokers
  • Prior experience managing and mentoring direct reports
  • Strategic thinker with strong business judgment and attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial ownership environment
