Mindful Stages is a multidisciplinary practice dedicated to providing high-quality, culturally responsive educational and mental health services to underserved and historically marginalized communities. We support children, adolescents, and families throughout Georgia by offering educational assessments, psychoeducational evaluations, counseling, play therapy, trauma-focused therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, ABA services, and academic interventions.
Position Overview
Mindful Stages is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide evaluation and therapeutic services to children and adolescents with sensory, motor, developmental, and functional challenges. This contractor will play a key role in supporting clients' independence, daily functioning, self-regulation, and overall development across home, school, and community environments. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply, though bilingual skills are not required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations, including standardized assessments, observations, and caregiver interviews.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs, strengths, and developmental goals.
- Provide direct OT services focused on fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-regulation, daily living skills, coordination, handwriting, and functional play.
- Collaborate with caregivers, educators, and other Mindful Stages providers to support generalization of skills across settings.
- Document sessions, progress notes, treatment plans, and evaluations in compliance with professional and insurance standards.
- Provide caregiver coaching and home-based strategies to reinforce therapeutic goals.
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, or parent conferences when needed.
- Deliver culturally responsive and developmentally appropriate care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be licensed in the state of Georgia as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L).
- Credentialing eligible with major insurance providers (e.g., BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Medicaid/CMOs).
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric OT experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English & Spanish (preferred but not required).
- Experience working with BIPOC or underserved communities.
- Prior experience in school-based, clinic-based, or community-based pediatric settings.
- Training or experience in sensory integration therapy (e.g., SIPT certification).
- Experience working with children diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, or sensory processing disorders.

Pay: $ $47.00 per hour
