Job Description

Position:

Our Senior Architectural Designer will be involved in all design aspects of the company, leading single family home plan design for remodel/addition and new construction projects. The company directly serves clients as well as contractors, and develops designs for residential and commercial projects.

Creation of custom concepts for both new construction and remodel projects, including floor plan consultation & interior elevations. Ability to create highly innovative & attractive 3-D renderings is a requirement.

We are seeking a professional that is interested in all types of architectural genres, someone who craves & appreciates variety of creating both modern-day and historical influenced designs as we create one-of-a-kind plans for our clientele.

The Senior Architectural Designer will lead R&D on exterior material specifications, keeping the studio informed on new products that ensures leading Lane County in residential design as we have for over 20 years.

The position will also have a support role to interiors staff, including helping with the selections and procurement of surfaces, furniture, and fixtures along with the creation of interior specifications, ceiling plans & exclusive casework design.

Additional responsibility includes mentoring junior designers, grow/establish relationships with suppliers & vendors, and working in concert with colleagues of our sister companies, dC Eugene & dC Real Estate Inc.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Development of creative & conceptual designs for both commercial & residential projects
  • Creation of design mood boards for residential and commercial projects
  • Assist in establishing specifications for projects to promote cohesive design, including exclusive interior and exterior elements
  • Collaborate with Clients, Owner, Design Director, Drafting Partners, Engineers & Contractors
  • Work with Owner to establish company initiatives & to help identify future opportunities
  • Grow & maintain vendor relationships, assist in managing partnerships of suppliers & continue to grow reference materials & studio samples
  • Network within community to establish new clients and revenue streams
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:

Seeking a Creative, Inspired Design Professional that wants to be immersed in a position full of opportunity that is/has:

  • Proficient in Revit Computer Programming
  • An expert in highly detailed, 3-D modeling of Single Family Residential Projects
  • 3+ years relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • College Degree Preferred
  • Knowledge of industry trends, design tools, iterative design processes, methodologies, and practices
  • High level of residential architectural expertise ideal
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • High Attention to Detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to interface effectively at all levels both internally and externally
  • Other 3-D Modeling Software skills a bonus (SketchUp, CAD, etc)
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
