Litigation Associate Attorney –| $140k-$152k| California (hybrid)

A well-regarded California-based law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 1–2 years of experience to join its expanding civil litigation practice. The team represents public agencies, private entities, and individuals in a wide range of complex litigation matters and is known for its collaborative culture, strong mentorship, and high-quality advocacy.

The Opportunity

The firm is seeking a junior Litigation Associate to join its growing litigation team. This role offers hands-on experience across all phases of civil litigation and the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners in a collegial, fast-paced environment. Attorneys are given early responsibility and meaningful client exposure.

This is a hybrid position based in California.

Responsibilities
  • Support partners and senior attorneys in all stages of civil litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on substantive legal issues
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents
  • Manage case deadlines and ensure timely filings and compliance with procedural rules
  • Participate in client interviews, witness preparation, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active California Bar membership
  • 1–2 years of civil litigation experience
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
