We are seeking someone who is passionate about furthering our mission of providing assurance services that promote good governance, strengthen policies and procedures, and enhance operations.

Under the general direction of the Chief Audit Executive (CAE), the Senior Management Auditor supervises a group of auditors and is responsible for overseeing all projects pertaining to the bureau including complex internal audits, external audits of CDSS subrecipients, and other assurance services in accordance with Global Internal Audit Standards and Government Auditing Standards. The Senior Management Auditor also manages an ongoing risk assessment of the CDSS' internal control effectiveness and assists the CAE with strategic planning and developing multi-year audit plans.

Working Conditions

This position has been designated as up to 10% travel, however this position primarily focuses on internal audit and has not recently involved any travel.

This position is eligible for hybrid work in accordance with the Governor's Executive Order N-22-25 and at the sole discretion of the Department of Social Servicesunder California Government Code Section All telework schedules are subject to change and may be re-evaluated at any time. The incumbent will be expected to report for in office work and attend work related in-person events as deemed operationally necessary. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the CDSS policies.
