Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in meal preparation and a commitment to food safety. As a Cook, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes that meet our high standards of quality and presentation, while also ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menus.
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, including catering options for special events.
  • Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to uphold hygiene standards.
  • Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking processes, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide support to dietary aides in meal preparation for special dietary needs when required.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Experience working in a fine dining or restaurant environment is preferred.
  • Proficient in meal preparation techniques, including knife skills and cooking methods.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing menus or dietary requirements as needed.
  • A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
