Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough medical history reviews, physical examinations, and health assessments to establish accurate diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based medicine, patient preferences, and clinical guidelines.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic to document patient encounters accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory work, medical imaging (such as CT scans), and other relevant procedures to inform clinical decisions.
  • Manage a broad spectrum of health issues, including acute illnesses, chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension), mental health concerns such as PTSD or behavioral health issues, and preventive care like immunizations and screenings.
  • Coordinate care with specialists across various fields including cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, dermatology, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), pediatrics, geriatrics, oncology, radiology, and more when specialized intervention is necessary.
  • Provide patient education on lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, nutrition, smoking cessation, and other health coaching strategies to empower patients in their wellness journeys.
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, basic wound care, ostomy management, IV infusions, or airway management as needed within scope of practice.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to advance healthcare delivery standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations including NCQA standards and HIPAA privacy rules while maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Engage in discharge planning for hospitalized patients or those transitioning to post-acute or hospice care settings.
  • Support triage services by assessing urgent cases promptly in outpatient or urgent care settings to prioritize patient needs effectively.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with active licensure to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Board certification or eligibility in family medicine or internal medicine is preferred; subspecialty certifications such as psychiatry or endocrinology are advantageous.
  • Proven experience working in outpatient clinics with familiarity in EMR systems like Epic or other EMR platforms; experience with medical coding (CPT/ICD) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation techniques—including radiology interpretation—and clinical research methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform physical examinations accurately and develop effective care plans for diverse patient populations across age groups including pediatric critical & intensive care or neonatal/neonatal ventilator experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency in performing procedures such as suturing, wound care management (including ostomy), airway management techniques, and basic life support (BLS).
  • Experience managing complex cases involving inpatient hospital medicine or ICU settings; familiarity with Level I & II trauma center protocols enhances readiness for high-acuity situations.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence; ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, specialists, radiologists, social workers and other healthcare professionals.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in clinical trials or research activities related to primary care or specialized fields like immunology or rheumatology.
