Job Description

As a Security Guard - Telecom Access Control in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to an access control post in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom environment, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents throughout the location. Your visible presence and strong communication will foster a welcoming atmosphere while supporting client operations. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in the job state. What You'll Do:

  • Assist with access control procedures for employees, contractors, and visitors at the location, following all site-specific policies and protocols.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and offering guidance to individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Help to deter unauthorized entry by monitoring entrances, exits, and other access points throughout the site.
  • Respond calmly and with problem-solving skills to incidents and critical situations that may arise.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, activities, and irregularities according to company and client procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain communication with Allied Universal management and the client's representatives regarding security-related matters.
  • Be prepared to assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicant must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
