What you'll do

  • Assist in patient intake by gathering medical histories and vital signs to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and support during examinations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) and manage medical terminology.
  • Perform basic life support procedures and assist during emergency situations in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Conduct routine procedures such as X-rays and assist in the operating room (OR) as needed.
  • Engage with patients to deliver outstanding service, addressing their needs and concerns with empathy.
  • Support administrative tasks, including ICD coding and managing appointment schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Basic qualifications

  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to provide informed patient care.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and experience with EHR systems for efficient documentation.
  • Ability to perform vital sign assessments and basic life support techniques.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine settings.
  • Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and level I or II trauma center operations.
  • Background in geriatrics, medical-surgical care, or pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) environments.
