Peak Performers has partnered with a local energy company to assist in their search for an onsite
Desktop Support Specialist
in Austin, Tx. In this contract position, you will be responsible for technical support, documentation, and training & development.

Major duties

  • Provide advanced and escalated technology service support
  • Perform complex hardware, software, and applications support
  • Log tickets and triage customer issues
  • Perform call-backs and provide Microsoft desktop suite support
  • Document, test, and publish processes/procedures
  • Participate in developing and testing knowledge management content
  • Assist service desk resources with knowledge management activities
  • Attend product training
  • Achieve technical certifications as determined by IT management
  • Maintain awareness of AE IT quality programs and standards

What are we looking for?

  • 4-7 years of experience providing professional technical customer service to users.
  • 4-7 years of experience installing and maintaining hardware and/or software for desktop systems
  • 4-7 years pr experience scheduling, documenting, and closing work orders via support software
  • 1 year of experience troubleshooting computer and printer problems
  • 2 years of experience setting up and maintaining Av equipment
  • Required to provide on call afterhours 24 x 7 support (about 1 week a qtr.)
  • Valid drivers license requires
  • Experience performing advanced system administration duties for Apple/Mac and Microsoft based devices preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure and Office 365 preferred

  • Rate: $18.00/hour
  • W2 Contract
  • Worksite Location: Austin, Tx 78723
  • Onsite
  • 1 year contract with opportunity for extension into 2027
