Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and will be proficient in a variety of dental procedures with an open mind to perform in a holistic dental practice. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and treatment planning, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. At SmileHaven, we follow specific core principles of holistic or natural dentistry, which differ from a traditional dentist. We believe that a person's oral health is connected to the health of the rest of the body and will place an emphasis on whole-body healing and wellness instead of just simply treating an oral problem. They won't just take care of a person's mouth – they'll essentially take care of a patient's entire body with bio-compatible whole body dentistry. We are seeking a like minded doctor, or a doctor with an open mind with the willingness to learn from Dr. Chan on our practices. This Role is for 2-3 days per week with opportunity for growth.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health conditions.
- Provide preventive care, including cleanings and sealants.
- Execute various dental procedures such as fillings, crowns, extractions, prosthodontics and implants.
- Conduct pediatric dentistry with a focus on creating a comfortable environment for young patients.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to deliver optimal patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques through continuous education.
Skills
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Denticon or Eaglesoft.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry and understanding of child behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with oral surgery procedure and implant placement.
- Ability to perform dental extractions competently.
- Knowledge of anatomy related to dentistry for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
