The Center for Prevention of Abuse (CFPA) is seeking a passionate individual to join our team as the full-time Director of Domestic Violence Family-Centered Services. Our mission at CFPA is to help all people live free from violence and abuse, and our Director of Domestic Violence Family-Centered Services is essential in bringing that mission to life.
The Director of Domestic Violence Family-Centered Services administers and supervises domestic violence family centered services, casework, programming, and program development. The Director of Domestic Violence Family-Centered Services is responsible for providing administration of housing programs and facilities including CFPA's Peoria Emergency Shelter, Next Step Permanent Housing, the Carol House of Hope Shelter in Pekin, Rapid Re-Housing, and Family-Centered Services casework. The Director also serves as an exemplary role model of CFPA's Vision, Mission, Guiding Principles and Code of Ethics.
The Director of Domestic Violence Family-Centered Services provides oversight for the hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, evaluation, and corrective action of department staff and volunteers to ensure compliance with accountabilities, policies, and procedures and maintains accurate data and timely documentation for agency and funding source reports, ensuring confidentiality of agency information. The Director facilitates continual improvement of processes, policies, and practices and functions as an agency ambassador while building community relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and timelines, and computer skills working with Microsoft Office Suite, is required. Preferred, master's degree in a relevant field such as social work, counseling, criminal justice, public administration, or education/child development. Extensive experience in crisis intervention, residential management, and staff supervision is also preferred, along with experience working with both children and adults.
Must be passionate about CFPA's mission, work well independently and as a team, demonstrate non-abusive behavior in both public and professional life, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Obtaining CFPA certification training of 63.5 hours, after point of hire, regarding working with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and elder abuse training, must be obtained before interacting with clients. Must have or obtain Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Certification (ICDVP) within one year of hire.
