Americans for Prosperity is seeking a Manager of External Affairs. As part of the Government Affairs Team, the External Affairs Team builds and manages relationships with key stakeholders - from advocacy groups and think tanks to industry leaders, corporations, and congressional and White House staff - to advance shared priorities. It works with individuals who can advocate for AFP's goals, support communication and negations, share reliable intelligence, and coordinate joint efforts.  It also manages Government Affairs-related marquee events and sponsorships within the Washington, DC area. 
How You Will Contribute
  • Produce external affairs communication to partners including regular updates on legislative and campaign activity as well as collaboration opportunities
  • Serve as liaison for specific Capitol Hill committee relationships
  • Represent AFP at coalition meetings, conferences, and events
  • Oversee Washington DC sponsorships and support Government Affairs-related marquee events
  • Oversee all coalition letter activity
  • Produce intelligence updates on key legislative priorities
What You Will Bring

    For this position we anticipate paying between $100,000 - $140,000 per year and this position may be eligible for additional bonus compensation. Actual amount may be higher or lower based on various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
