We are a busy, well established independent Jaguar/Land Rover repair shop seeking an experienced Jaguar and/or Land Rover technician with strong shop foreman and service advisor abilities. He must be able to direct technicians, order parts, prepare estimates, and sell work to experienced owners and long-time customers. He must have a track record of building and sustaining key relationships and achieving a high level of customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

  • Manage all repair shop functions alongside the owner. Serve as General Manager in his absence.
  • Greet customers, maintain valued relationships, and assist them with scheduling service appointments.
  • Consult with customers to understand their vehicle issues and provide accurate service recommendations based on time, mileage, condition, and history of customer vehicles.
  • Keep customers informed of vehicle repair statuses.
  • Generate service repair orders.
  • Create, revise, and close customer invoices.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of customer interactions and service transactions.
  • Contact various parts suppliers to obtain needed parts and supplies.
  • Generate estimates of repairs to customers and provide detailed explanations and estimated completion time.
  • Use experience and judgement in selling repairs that maximize customer satisfaction and company profit.
  • Coordinate and direct service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform test drives before and after repairs to validate work completed.
  • Manage the vehicle lot spaces to maximize efficiency and timely repairs.
  • Uphold our commitment to excellence in performance, customer service and satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Jaguar and/or Land Rover technician is recommended.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Jaguar and/or Land Rover service advisor is recommended.
  • Proven experience leading in a team environment.
  • Exceptional customer service and confidence in dealing with experienced car owners.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to communicate technical information in non-technical terms to clients.
  • Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills to ensure client satisfaction.
  • High level of detail orientation and accuracy.
  • Ability to evolve and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Must submit to a background check and drug screen.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Possess high level of integrity, work ethic, and dedication to organizational success.
