Overview

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Preschool Teacher with a degree in Early Childhood Education (Associate degree, Bachelor's degree preferred) to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on early childhood development while working in a supportive and collaborative setting.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of preschool children, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
  • Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
  • Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all students.
  • Utilize behavior management strategies to support positive behavior and social skills development.
  • Assess individual student progress through observation and standardized testing; adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate student progress and address individual needs, including special education and early intervention services.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and lesson plans in compliance with licensing standards.
  • Incorporate classroom management techniques that foster independence, curiosity, and respect among students.
  • Support children's welfare by ensuring their safety and well-being at all times during classroom activities.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Experience with curriculum development across various domains such as literacy, math, physical education, and special education.
  • Proficiency in classroom management and behavior management techniques tailored for preschool-aged children.
  • Ability to design engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies like early intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings; familiarity with classroom experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and assessment tools relevant to early childhood education.
  • Skills in tutoring or providing additional support for children requiring extra assistance in literacy or math skills.
  • Understanding of child welfare policies and practices to ensure a safe learning environment. This position is ideal for dedicated educators committed to early childhood development who are eager to contribute positively to young learners' educational journeys through innovative teaching methods and compassionate care.

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
