Position Overview
The Corporate Controller is a key financial leader responsible for building and scaling a world-class accounting function. This role oversees accounting operations, reporting, and internal controls for multiple business units, ensuring compliance with GAAP, investor requirements, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Reporting
- Manage all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems for multiple entities, ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy.
- Prepare and interpret balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for executive leadership and investors.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to internal and external stakeholders on a timely basis.
- Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and support the accounting team, fostering a culture of trust, teamwork, productivity, and accountability.
- Develop and document processes and procedures to ensure consistent and scalable reporting across multiple entities.
- Continuously improve the accounting function to support organic growth and acquisition integration.
Financial Strategy & Compliance
- Partner with the CFO to establish financial and operational benchmarks, budgets, and management reporting.
- Monitor compliance with covenants, lending agreements, and private equity investor requirements.
- Ensure integrity of ERP systems and correct system issues to maintain accurate financial information.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement and cost efficiency through financial analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Advanced degree preferred).
- CPA or CMA designation required.
- Minimum 5 years of senior-level accounting experience; previous Controller experience preferred.
- Experience managing accounting teams in a multi-entity or acquisition-focused environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, and private equity requirements.
- Proficiency with ERP and accounting software; Sage Intacct experience preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and high-accountability environment.
