We are a Senior Data Engineer to help build and scale their growing Data Lakehouse platform. This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing the data systems that power enterprise analytics, decision-making, and operational insight across one of the largest construction companies in the U.S.

You'll work hands-on with Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and modern ELT pipelines, collaborating with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable, high-quality data flows through every part of the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain scalable ELT data pipelines using Python and SQL.
  • Develop and orchestrate workflows in Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
  • Manage structured and semi-structured data ingestion into Delta Lake architecture.
  • Implement data transformation logic and ensure efficient access for tools like Power BI.
  • Monitor pipeline performance and ensure system reliability and SLA compliance.
  • Collaborate on metadata governance and evolving platform architecture.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of data engineering experience with a focus on modern cloud-native architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Python, and SQL.
  • Experience with Unity Catalog, GitHub, CI/CD workflows, and Azure cloud tools.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, Delta Lake, and columnar storage concepts.
  • Bonus: Experience with dbt, Atlan, or industry exposure in construction or engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work across teams.
