As an Assistant Teacher at Clever Bee Academy, you'll support the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing classroom and help plan and implement activities that foster children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Minimum Requirements:

  • 18 years or older; High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of experience working in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
  • Ability to pass BCI/FBI Background Check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some completion of college-level coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • CPL II or Child Development Associate Certificate upon hire (CDA sponsorship available)

Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth for young children
  • Provide a safe, nurturing classroom environment and supervise children during daily routines, outdoor play, and field trips
  • Communicate regularly with parents and families to share progress and build strong relationships
  • Maintain an organized, clean classroom while using strong communication, organization, and child development knowledge to support learning
