Mechanical Engineer - Mobile Hydraulics
As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the design and development of hydraulic components and systems for mobile equipment. Responsibilities include 3D modeling of hydraulic hoses, tubes, and components, performing quality and assembly checks, and collaborating with manufacturing, validation, and suppliers to optimize designs.
Job Description
Design and model hydraulic components and systems using SolidWorks.
Develop and maintain 2D drawings, technical specifications, and documentation to support product development.
Conduct quality, routing, and assembly checks to ensure system integrity and manufacturability.
Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and validation teams to create efficient, cost-effective designs that meet performance and durability requirements.
Compile and provide engineering reports and design analysis data to support prototype development and product integration.
Develop and interpret hydraulic schematics to ensure functional system design and integration.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in machine design and hydraulic systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude, demonstrated through hands-on work, projects, or hobbies.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Creo, SolidWorks) and engineering data management tools (EPDM, Windchill, or PDMLink).
Experience in hydraulic system design and familiarity with hydraulic components such as cylinders and electrohydraulic valves
Prior industrial equipment design experience
Pay Range: $80,000-$110,000 – Commensurate with experience
