Position Summary

The Planning Manager oversees production planning, materials coordination, and scheduling activities across Silver King Beverage's manufacturing operations. This role ensures production plans are optimized for efficiency, inventory control, and on-time delivery while supporting daily alignment between Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain. Leader of IBP & SOP processes. 

The ideal candidate is a proactive planner who thrives in fast-paced environments, can balance short-term demands with long-term production goals, and ensures seamless communication across departments. Has the ability to learn and understand manufacturing challenges and opportunities while treating manufacturing as a customer. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer demand, and plant capacity.
  • Analyze material availability, labor resources, and production lead times to ensure an optimal flow of operations.
  • Partner with Purchasing to coordinate raw material and packaging inventory, ensuring sufficient supply while minimizing excess.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Customer Operations and Quality to align daily production priorities and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Adjust and update production plans proactively in response to equipment downtime, demand fluctuations, or material delays.
  • Provide visibility to internal stakeholders on production status, potential risks, and delivery timelines.
  • Manage data accuracy in ERP and planning systems; ensure all schedules, work orders, and inventory transactions are up to date.
  • Lead a small team of planners/schedulers and support staff, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives focused on capacity optimization, forecasting accuracy, and planning efficiency.
  • Partner with Finance and Supply Chain leadership on long-range capacity and material planning strategies.
  • KPI Management as well as Improving Variance Planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field required.
  • 6+ years of production or materials planning experience in manufacturing; beverage or consumer goods experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (experience with Paylocity or similar systems a plus).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly and make decisions under changing priorities.
