We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Risk Analytics to lead the analytical risk strategy and execution for our EWA products and new business initiatives — which together disburse several billion dollars annually and continue to grow at double-digit rates. This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of data science, product strategy, finance, and engineering, driving decisions that shape the future of Payactiv's risk framework and product growth.
This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Finance and is based in person at our headquarters in Milpitas, CA.
What you will do…
- Lead the development and execution of data-driven risk strategies across EWA and new product lines, which together disburse several billion dollars annually and continue to grow at double-digit rates.
- Build and enhance frameworks, models, and segmentation strategies to identify profitable cohorts and minimize disbursements losses.
- Identify and communicate emerging risk trends and portfolio performance insights to senior leadership.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to Product, Engineering, and Finance — influencing roadmaps and pricing strategy through analytical insights.
- Drive a culture of analytical rigor, experimentation, and transparency in risk measurement and product performance.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to integrate analytics and learnings directly into Payactiv's core disbursement and decisioning engines.
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, credit risk, or data science roles. Leadership experience preferred
- Deep understanding of product analytics and credit risk dynamics in a fintech or financial context
- Proven success building and maintaining predictive models and risk frameworks that translate into business and platform impact.
- Advanced analytical skills and fluency with SQL; familiarity with Python/R a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for executives and stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across analytics, product, and engineering disciplines.
- Experience working in fintech, lending, or a consumer SAAS strongly preferred.
