Job Description: IT Sales Executive

Position

Overview

The IT Sales Executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth by expanding existing client relationships while also identifying and securing new business opportunities. This dual-focused role requires strong consultative selling skills, technical understanding of IT solutions, and the ability to build trust with decision-makers across industries.

Key Responsibilities

Account Growth:

Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across IT products, services, and solutions.

Conduct regular account reviews to align solutions with evolving client needs.

New Business Development:

Prospect, qualify, and acquire new clients within target industries.

Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets.

Deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.

Sales Execution:

Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.

Negotiate contracts and close deals to maximize profitability.

Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, and client activity records in CRM systems.

Collaboration & Delivery:

Partner with technical, pre-sales, and delivery teams to ensure seamless solution implementation.

Act as the primary point of contact for client escalations and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Market & Industry Awareness:

Stay updated on IT trends (cloud, cybersecurity, networking, enterprise software, managed services).

Monitor competitor activities and market shifts to refine sales strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 10-15 years in IT sales, with proven success in new business acquisition.

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of IT solutions such as cloud computing, SaaS, infrastructure, or cybersecurity.

Sales Skills: Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

Relationship Building:

executives, IT managers, and procurement leaders.

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or related field (MBA preferred).

Performance Metrics

Revenue growth from existing accounts

Number of new accounts acquired per quarter

Customer retention and satisfaction scores

Achievement of sales quotas and pipeline targets
