Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our cloud transformation program, migrating our on‑premise applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will involve building and deploying backend services, modern front‑end applications, and integrating enterprise search capabilities, with a strong focus on eCommerce functionality.

You will work closely with architects, product owners, and DevOps engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑performance solutions.

Job Responsibilities
Backend Development

  • Design and implement RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI/Flask) and/or Java (Spring Boot).
  • Work with PostgreSQL for schema design, queries, and performance tuning.
  • Deploy and manage services on Google Cloud Run.

Frontend Development

  • Build responsive UIs using and
  • Integrate front‑end applications with backend APIs and search services.

eCommerce Features

  • Develop and enhance product catalog, search, cart, checkout, payment, and order management modules.
  • Optimize for performance, scalability, and user experience.

Cloud & DevOps

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines or equivalent).
  • Follow cloud‑native best practices for scalability, security, and resilience.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to ensure smooth deployments and monitoring.

Continued Responsibilities
Search Integration

  • Integrate enterprise search solutions (Coveo preferred; Elasticsearch/Solr acceptable).
  • Configure indexing, relevance tuning, and analytics.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Added Responsibilities

  • 5+ years of proven full stack development experience with + and either Python or Java/Spring Boot.
  • eCommerce application development experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run/Pub Sub/Cloud Storage etc).
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Bitbucket workflows.
  • Proficiency with MS SQL, PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker).
  • Experience with Coveo or other enterprise search platforms.
  • Exposure to microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of payment gateways, personalization engines, or inventory systems.
  • Bilingual in Spanish /English is a plus
