Mega Logistic, Inc. ) a fast growing 3PL warehouse is looking for a reliable Warehouse Lead to join our team.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations within our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control, and logistics. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency of warehouse distribution processes while maintaining safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in warehouse operations and comfortable using various FORKLIFTS: SITDOWN , STAND UP & CHERRY PICKER. The Warehouse Lead will assist in coordinating warehouse activities under the direction of the Supervisor or Manager.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company policies.
  • Manage inventory levels through effective inventory management practices, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely processing of orders and proper handling of materials.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices in materials handling, safety protocols, and equipment operation, including forklifts.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to facilitate a safe working environment.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory movements and managing logistics effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations related to e-commerce fulfillment and third-party logistics (3PL).
  • Additional duties/projects as assigned by Supervisor and/or Manager.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor with a solid understanding of logistics operations.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control processes, including experience with WMS
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and engage in physical activity throughout the workday.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation is preferred.
  • Experience in shipping & receiving processes is essential.
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish a must).
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, be flexible, committed, and accept responsibility for yourself and your team.
  • Ability and willingness to follow SOP's.
  • Ability to receive written and verbal directions.
  • Must drive all forklifts: sit down, stand up, and cherry picker
