CORE Electronics Field Technician

The Electronics Field Technician position is responsible for providing service to customers by installing, repairing, and maintaining data sensors on well service rigs and support equipment. Additional responsibility is to maintain production equipment in a manner that meets Company standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime by administering preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
These objectives will be achieved by having extensive electrical and electronic skills with the ability to identify component issues, troubleshoot and repair and carry out simple configuration tasks as required.
Job Functions/Duties:
- Installs and maintains sensors and related electronic equipment.
- Works with operations personnel to instrument key parts of the rig for data analysis and review
- Works with the local crews on proper installation and maintenance of sensors and communicate potential problem areas and expected cycle time
- Identifies required sensor packages per CORE system
- Assists in monitoring of data recording processes to capture data real time
- Develops continuous improvement culture so that drill out cycle times continue to be reduced
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 3+ years in well servicing, workover and completions rig experience; relevant industry education in industrial, engineering or related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have valid, active state-issued driver license
- Self-starter and ability to work with limited direct supervision
- Previous electronics and data field technician experience in an oil field service company such as coil tubing, wireline or drilling
- Mobility and ability to use ladders or other access devices up to 15 ft.; ability to bend, stoop, twist, stand, squat, crawl and walk.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work may be performed in all weather conditions; understands when it is safe to drive, despite adverse weather condition.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written; English preferred.
- Ability to interact with others in a team and fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills and problem solving and organizational skills.
- Basic computer and writing skills.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule and travel as job requires.
- Excellent customer service skills, to provide world class value to customers.
- Reliable telephone (cell phone) communication and transportation.
- Ability to clear/pass DOT drug and alcohol pre-employment testing requirements.
- Ability to clear/pass DOT compliant post offer physical and job-relevant screens.
- Receipt of proof of eligibility to work in the United States, as required by law.
