We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Remote IT Specialist focused on E-Commerce Platforms to join our innovative team. Duties

  • Provide comprehensive technical support for all e-commerce platform-related hardware and software, including troubleshooting issues with servers, databases, and web applications.
  • Manage and monitor computer systems, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and network components such as LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and switches to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Assist users with desktop support tasks including software installation, configuration, updates, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and support IT infrastructure essential for online sales activities, including server management, network connectivity, and cloud services integration.
  • Utilize IT service management tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira to log incidents, track resolutions, and manage workflows efficiently.
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of security measures like firewall configurations and VPN access to safeguard sensitive e-commerce data.
  • Conduct regular system audits and updates to ensure compliance with security protocols and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new e-commerce features or upgrades while providing user training and documentation as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and end-users to resolve issues promptly while maintaining a positive customer service experience.

Skills

  • Proven experience providing technical support in an IT environment specializing in e-commerce platforms or online retail systems.
  • Strong knowledge of computer management including hardware components, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes.
  • Solid understanding of computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, switches, and network security best practices.
  • Experience supporting help desk operations using tools like ServiceNow or Jira for incident tracking and resolution management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues related to web servers, databases, or application integrations within an e-commerce context.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure components including server management (physical or cloud-based), storage solutions, and backup procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Familiarity with operating systems including Windows environments (Windows 10/11 Server) as well as macOS and Linux distributions used in server or development settings.
  • Experience configuring and managing network security tools such as firewalls and VPNs to protect sensitive customer data. We are a fast-growing e-commerce business operating across Amazon, TikTok Shop, and Temu, seeking a skilled Remote IT Specialist to manage, maintain, and optimize all technical operations across our platforms and internal systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate, manage, and maintain inventory management systems across all sales channels.
  • Develop, update, and maintain company websites (front-end and basic back-end).
  • Create advanced Excel dashboards, reports, and automated tools to support operations.
  • Implement, test, and manage new apps and software solutions to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Provide general IT support for websites, tools, and internal systems.
  • Oversee system integrations between all e-commerce platforms and our inventory management system.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues across Amazon Seller Central, TikTok Seller Center, Temu, and connected apps.
  • Manage IT security, including access controls, data protection, system monitoring, and cybersecurity best practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong IT background with experience in e-commerce platforms and integrations.
  • Excellent knowledge of Amazon Seller Central; experience with TikTok Seller Center is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in website development and maintenance (WordPress, Shopify, or custom platforms).
  • Skilled with integrations, APIs, automation tools, and third-party app connections.
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, macros/automations preferred).
  • Understanding of IT security management and best practices.
  • Ability to independently manage and improve IT workflows across multiple platforms.

Job Type: Full-time
