About the Role

Our client is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Application Security to strengthen the security posture of their products and services. You'll play a key role in designing and scaling automated security solutions that protect applications from the ground up. This is a highly collaborative position, working alongside engineering, product, and security teams to embed secure-by-design principles into every stage of development.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement foundational security controls across all internal and customer-facing applications.
  • Develop automated guardrails that prevent and eliminate classes of vulnerabilities at scale.
  • Build tools and workflows that streamline the security review process across multiple engineering teams.
  • Partner with engineering leaders to integrate security standards into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Drive initiatives that increase security maturity and operational efficiency through automation.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on security-driven development.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or Go, with experience building automation or security tooling.
  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions across cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex security topics into actionable guidance.
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and can collaborate effectively across disciplines.

Bonus Points

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience securing AI/ML systems or pipelines.
  • Prior work building or contributing to security-focused platforms or frameworks.
  • Familiarity with threat modeling and secure design reviews that inform system architecture decisions.
