Overview: An industrial Oiler Repairman lubricated moving parts of heavy equipment throughout the facility. Changes oil in machines reservoirs, cleans and replaces oil filters. The position ensures that automatic lubrication equipment operates correctly, replacing empty drums or malfunctioning lines. Basic qualifications and/or traits that the Industrial Maintenance Technician must possess include:
Must be skilled in repair, maintenance and installation of belt conveyors, screw conveyors, elevators, pumps, compressors, fans, feeders, water, air and gas lines and valves.
Ability to ARC weld.
Have a working knowledge of all MCC operations and process flows.
A strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
Have reliable attendance and safety records.
Be able to work without constant supervision.
Be able to give and take directions.
Knowledge of safe productive operations of mobile equipment used throughout all areas of the plant.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Industrial Oiler Repairman include but are not limited to:
Safety inspections shall be performed a minimum of once per shift as required by federal mining regulations. Additional inspections may be required as conditions warrant.
The Industrial Oiler Repairman is responsible for performing housekeeping duties in his work area to remove slip/trip/fall hazards. Work activities must be performed while adhering to all applicable federal/state regulations and MCC company policies at all times.
The Oiler Repairman is responsible for cleaning the work area on a daily basis. Messes, oil spills, saturated oil dry materials, and leftover materials are not to be left for other MCC personnel to clear. A job is not finished until clean up of the work area is completed.
The Industrial Oiler Repairman must maintain a complete set of tools within ninety (90) days of being assigned to the job classification. A listing of the required tools will be provided upon hire.
NOTE: This is an extremely physical job, requiring strenuous work and the ability to maneuver throughout the plant quickly when required (this requirement cannot be sacrificed). Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- 2 years working in an industrial environment (preferable cement) preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
