Job Summary

Overview: Realign Detox, LLC is a six bed, boutique facility nestled in beautiful Laguna Niguel. We are an established facility that has operated in the area for many years, and are proud to be accredited by The Joint Commission.

We service adults with substance use and mental health disorders By providing a safe and nurturing environment for clients and staff alike.

We are currently hiring for a Detox Specialist and/or Behavioral Health Technician to work a PART-TIME position for the SWING shift. Previous experience with substance abuse is preferred, but not required as training is provided. Duties include monitoring patients via safety checks, completing paperwork and client assessments, assisting with environment of care responsibilities, and maintaining availability for clients who have urgent issues that arise.

Full-time employees are eligible for health benefits and paid time off (PTO). Pay is commensurate with experience at $20-$23 per hour. Promotion opportunities once experience has been gained. We are able to offer CADC training for the right candidate.

The Support Staff is responsible for the complete care and well-being of the clients while they are receiving services at the facility. Support staff will maintain open line of communication with staff, attending clinicians and physicians, and clients and families.

Duties

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional.
• Monitor and document client progress, including medical documentation and vital signs as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during challenging situations, ensuring the safety of clients and staff.
• Assist clients in developing coping strategies and skills for managing their behaviors effectively.
• Administer medication as prescribed, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create a supportive environment for clients with disabilities.
• Engage in regular training sessions to enhance skills in behavior management and crisis intervention techniques.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with clients.

Requirements

• Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices, including crisis intervention techniques.
• Familiarity with medical documentation processes and vital sign monitoring is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independence when required.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Previous experience in PTSD care or working with individuals facing behavioral challenges is advantageous.
