JOB DUTIES:
Process employment changes including data gathering/reporting, completion of applicable documents, securing approvals, and submission in HR systems.
Administers full cycle recruitment processes, including but not limited to posting, résumé review, sourcing, background checks, on-and off-boarding, and new hire orientation. This includes managing the union bid process.
Generates HR reports, analyzes, formats, and presents data using HR tools and systems.
Maintains employee physical and electronic files and records.
Assists with projects to include HR data audits, new policy/program development and implementation, and other HR projects.
Actively participates in change management initiatives.
First point of contact for systems, processes, and policy questions from employees.
Ensures fair and consistent administration of all human resources policies and practices.
Administers and implements communication programs to increase employee engagement and morale.
Facilitates leave of absence process.
Participates in employee and labor relations issues, including investigations and grievances.
Provides training and development to managers/supervisors on policy, practices, and leadership skills.
Processes payroll and time and attendance record keeping biweekly.
Participates in the development and delivery of HR-related training programs.
Ensures compliance with records, reports, and employee communication updates.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning human resources.
Implement local policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Corporate Ethics and Compliance procedures.
Serve internal and external customers, collaborate, and prioritize workload.
Build a strong internal and external network of resources, and to successfully partner with people of various levels and backgrounds.
Apply 'radical candor' in all interactions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience working in Human Resources.
Organizational skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
Initiative in learning, professional development, analytical and critical thinking skills.
Project management skills that range from conception to implementation and evaluation of projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Learn by giving and receiving constructive feedback.
Come in early or stay late as needed.
Use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
PREFERRED:
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment administering all aspects of HR programs and initiatives.
Union experience.
Professional certification through HRCI or SHRM.
Experience using Ceridian Dayforce HRIS.
Functional use of SmartSheets.
HOURS: 7:30am - 4:30pm
PAY: $35 - $45 per hour, Depending on experience
