Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing ingredients, maintaining food safety standards, and assisting the chef in delivering high-quality dishes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and specifications.
  • Assist in the cooking process by preparing sauces, stocks, and other components.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling and storage of all food items.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other utensils.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation.
  • Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
  • Support the culinary team during peak service times to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced r environment.
  • Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff.
  • A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends & holidays as needed.
