Position Overview:

Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart building technologies and sustainable solutions, is seeking an innovative Technology Director to join our Seattle team. In this leadership role, you will oversee technology strategy, manage a talented team, and implement advanced solutions that improve operational efficiency and drive business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, IT specialists, and technology professionals in Seattle, ensuring the delivery of innovative technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure technology programs align with company goals and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends, integrating solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the technology team.
  • Mentor team members, providing guidance and opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure technology solutions support business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in senior technology leadership roles, ideally within building technology, IT, or related industries.
  • Strong expertise in modern technology frameworks, enterprise software systems, and infrastructure management.
  • Proven track record in managing and delivering large, complex technology projects successfully.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and leadership levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology leadership, with at least 5 years in management.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working in hybrid environments and familiarity with modern collaboration tools.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $150,000 – $160,000 annually
  • Annual Bonus: Typically 10-20% of base salary
