Position Summary

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and versatile Tradesman to join our team. This role requires expertise across multiple trades, ideally, a combination of Electrical, HVAC, HVAC/R, and/or carpentry, to execute high-quality on behalf of AlffCo at our client's sites. We are seeking a revenue-generating skilled technician who executes client-issued work orders from start to finish and contributes directly to AlffCo's revenue goals. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, disciplined, and entrepreneurial, with a proven ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional standards. Key Responsibilities:

Skilled Trade Execution

  • Perform high-quality work across multiple trades, including plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and carpentry, ensuring all tasks are completed to code and safety standards.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain facility systems and equipment as assigned in work orders.

Work Order Management

  • Collaborate with office staff, including but not limited to Regional Managers or Field Operations Managers to receive, prioritize, and execute assigned work orders efficiently.
  • Complete an annual target of $250,000 per technician in maintenance and repair revenue, demonstrating consistent productivity and reliability.

Customer Service and Communication

  • Professionally represent AlffCo while interacting with commercial clients ensuring a positive experience and maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Provide timely updates to managers and clients regarding project status, delays, or challenges.

Travel and On-Site Services

  • Travel up to 50% within the region of residence to service client locations, often requiring overnight stays. May require travel to other areas of the country depending on client needs and work volume.. 
  • Adapt to diverse work environments, ranging from commercial to industrial facilities, ensuring flexibility in meeting client needs. 
  • All work will be on site at commercial client locations, including retail, restaurant, financial institutions and light industrial settings.

Tool and Equipment Usage

  • Utilize personal tools for routine tasks while adhering to AlffCo's tool maintenance and care guidelines.
  • Collaborate with management to secure specialized tools required as needed.

Safety Compliance

  • Follow all company and industry safety protocols, ensuring the health and safety of all individuals on-site.
  • Maintain an organized and hazard-free work environment during and after task completion.

Administrative and Reporting Duties

  • Maintain accurate records of completed work orders, materials used, and time spent on projects.
  • Provide detailed documentation and reports to Regional Managers as required.

Leadership Development

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team or crew, including leading small groups by providing support and mentorship to other team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment as the role evolves.
  • Exhibit initiative and a solution-oriented mindset to address challenges and improve team efficiency.

Equipment and Asset Maintenance

  • Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Report any tool or equipment issues to management promptly.

Problem-solving and Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest innovative solutions to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices to maintain high expertise.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 
  • Adhering to AlffCo values and professionalism 
  • Weekends/nights may be required. 

Requirements

Qualifications:

Technical Proficiency

  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in multiple trades, ideal candidate will have the experience necessary to provide service repairs and maintenance in a combination of trades, from HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, to carpentry.
  • Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain facility systems and equipment across diverse environments.
  • Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.

Problem-solving and Analytical Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Analytical mindset to assess work orders and determine the best course of action for completing tasks.

  • Exceptional time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial construction, facility maintenance or service industry.
  • Familiarity with project management principles.
  • Demonstrated success in handling high-volume work orders and achieving revenue targets in a service-based role.
  • OSHA Certification 

Computer Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Basic computer programs and smartphone applications. All work completed requires before and after photos as well as on-site, GPS confirmed, check-in and check-out of work orders and projects.
