Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. As an Aviation Maintenance Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective training sessions on aviation maintenance concepts and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include developing and updating instructional materials, leading hands-on training activities, conducting assessments to measure learning outcomes, and ensuring that training aligns with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. You will provide technical support, foster learner engagement, and assist in designing training programs to meet industry needs.
Qualifications
- Expertise in aviation maintenance practices and knowledge of FAA regulations and requirements
- Experience with technical instruction, curriculum development, and lesson planning
- Strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, staff, and industry professionals
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and hands-on technical applications
- Previous experience in aviation or avionics-related fields is highly desirable
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance, Technical Education, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered
- Relevant certifications such as FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license or Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) are advantageous
