What You'll Do:

Key Responsibilities

As a Program Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead, coordinate, and administer major county-wide recreation programs—especially special needs, outdoor, arts, music, nature, and other enrichment offerings.
  • Manage all program logistics including scheduling, facilities, vendor contracts, safety compliance, transportation, permits, and promotional collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and support staff and volunteers; provide on-site leadership to ensure high-quality program execution.
  • Oversee program budgets, track revenues/expenses, secure sponsorships/partnerships, and prepare reports on attendance, financial performance, and participant feedback.
  • Build and maintain strong community relationships, serve as primary contact for program partners, implement improvements, and uphold department policies and objectives.
What We're Looking For:
  • Combination of bachelor's degree in Recreation or a related field and/or 3+ years of professional experience in community recreation.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and have held it for at least 2 years
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evening, weekend, and holiday hours requirement.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills, including the ability to supervise staff/volunteers, and build effective relationships with community partners and the public.
  • Strong knowledge of recreation enrichment program administration, budgeting, and reporting.
