Nurse Practitioner

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner with experience, to meet the growing demand for pre-operative services at Franciscan Health Michigan City IMPACT Center in Michigan City, IN.

This Nurse Practitioner would thrive in a fast-paced environment, be team oriented and work collaboratively with physician, to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care. The Nurse Practitioner will, also, have a desire to develop strong ties with patients and the community in which they serve.

WHAT WE NEED:

Ideal candidate will have experience in internal medicine, ambulatory setting and or pre-operative medicine with a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

• Part-time Schedule

• No call expectation

• Average outpatient volume: will vary

• Work collaboratively with surgeons / physician offices and anesthesia providers 

• Will work with patients to ensure they are medically optimized for a variety of surgery procedures

• Formulate medical diagnosis based on patient admitting status, and physical findings

• Implement plan of care

• Communicate to Physicians, their assessment through surveillance exams, injuries, treatment and procedures, as deemed necessary

• Develop individualized plan of care for all assigned patients

• Consistently evaluate the effectiveness of care provided to the patient

• Perform interventions to meet holistic needs of patient, under the direction of the Medical Director, and under the leadership of the Client Resource Manager

Qualifications:

• Required Master's Degree Nursing / Patient Care

• Preferred Doctorate Nursing / Patient Care

• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association Per Job Setting

• Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board

• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification - National Certification Corporation (NCC)
