Under general direction of the Accounting Administrator II, the Senior Accounting Officer (Specialist) independently performs the more difficult professional accounting work in the researching, analyzing, monitoring, establishing, and maintaining of accounts and financial records in the General Fund and Vendor Services Section (GFVSS). Provides accounting expertise on complex accounting issues relating to contracts, purchase orders, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Meets with various California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) units and management to facilitate the work between various program areas. Considerable contact is made with Board management, the Budget Section, the Contracts and Procurement Sections, the Cashier Section, and control agencies such as the State Controller's Office (SCO) and the Department of General Services (DGS), and CDTFA employees and suppliers.

Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for partial telework for eligible candidates residing in California. All telework/hybrid schedules require staff to report to the office a minimum number of days per week. Schedules are subject to change.
