GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform daily quality inspections of contracted areas inside the Detroit Arsenal as well as identify potential and actual problem areas in the provided contracted services. Measures and updates quality standards as needed to ensure compliance with current contract.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Other:
- Three to four years of janitorial experience with a documented work history performing custodial services preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in the performance of quality control
- Ability to work with individuals with disabilities
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to establish and maintain productive relationships that emphasize a customer focus as well as communicate effectively with participants, staff, government officials and public.
- Composition skills sufficient to prepare required reports
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Must be able to obit Department of Defense Security Clearance.
- Must be able to provide immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella (MMR vaccine); Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio (Tdap Vaccine) Hepatitis B; Varicella (Chicken Pox); and TB Skin test.
- Valid Michigan Drive License and a driving record must meet safe standards as established by Agency insurance carrier.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement and maintain complete quality control program (QCP) to assure the requirements of the contract as specified, including a documentation system of the inspections, results and actions.
- Identifies potential and actual problem areas in providing and contracted services.
- Perform daily quality inspections of contracted areas.
- Measures and updates quality standards as needed to ensure compliance with contracts
- Meets with government officials as deemed appropriate by the officials to discuss quality inspections and discrepancies.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early morning shift (5:30am-9:30am)
- Work involves the ability to obtain clearance to work on work on federal government contracts
- Ability to push and lift equipment, office furniture, and accessories weighing up to 50 pounds
- Work involves the ability to stoop and bend for up to four hours a day.
NON-EXEMPT
This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay in accordance with the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
