Job Summary
We are looking for a talented, fast, and collaborative Sr. Animator to work with our studio team. This role will work with our creative leads to create rich animations to coincide with client videos, both independently and integrated with live action shots. We are looking for a mid to senior-level professional who is quick to adapt to changes in design and direction and still maintains a high level of execution in a fast-paced environment. This ideal candidate will have the perfect blend of design and animation chops paired with a highly creative approach from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver animations in various digital formats, including 2D or 3D animation, motion graphics, and visual effects.
  • Design and create characters, backgrounds, and other assets for animation.
  • Rig characters and objects for animation, ensuring they move in a lifelike and appealing manner.
  • Transform footage and narrative scripts into powerful visual stories and highly kinetic pieces for screens of all sizes.
  • Execute compression and scratch -track audio recording as needed.
  • Perform related multimedia functions such as: recording audio, audio and video duplication.
  • Ability to work and create independently, but also interpret, execute, and improve upon other team members concepts and ideas
  • Ability to present the creative vision and business thinking behind concepts in a coherent and inspiring manner
  • Collaborate with creative stakeholders and graphic designers to generate storyboards and graphic assets
  • Understanding client-side branding and vision with regards to speed and timing
  • Develop templates and maintain asset libraries for use across multiple projects

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of video/motion graphics experience in a web, broadcast, or marketing firm environment
  • Self-starter from concept to execution
  • After Effects (Boris FX Mocha and Red Giant Universe). Other BCC and Sapphire plugins are a plus.
  • Integration with Adobe Premiere
  • Experience with 3D software (Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Blender), plugins (MoGraph, RealFlow, Trapcode)
  • Proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop as well as the ability to transfer layers and effects into After Effects.
  • Urge to continually expand repertoire by learning new software and techniques
  • Strong typography, composition, and storytelling abilities
  • Experience with compositing, multi-pass renders, and/or VR workflows a plus

US Pay Range

$120,000—$150,000 USD
