Are you ready to take your career to the next level? UPMC is seeking a Paramedic Supervisor to join our team in Williamsport, PA. This full-time position offers night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., including a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.
As a Paramedic Supervisor, you'll play a critical leadership role in emergency medical services, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

•    Provide advanced emergency care to ill and injured patients.

•    Serve as the in-charge medic on ALS vehicles and ensure safe operation of corporate vehicles.

•    Oversee daily operations of the MTS Division during your shift.

•    Complete annual employee evaluations and contribute to performance reviews for other crews.

•    Collaborate with management on infrastructure and IS support.

•    Coordinate with ATS for call scheduling and assist in developing communication policies.

•    Act as a liaison with public safety entities, hospitals, nursing homes, and other partners.

•    Manage human resources within the department and foster professionalism.

•    Develop and implement training programs and continuing education for staff.

•    Work closely with MTS, ATS, and Starflight managers to ensure efficient communication and operations.

Qualifications

•    Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

•    Experience: Minimum of 1 year EMS pre-hospital experience at the advanced life support provider level preferred.

•    Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 100 pounds.

•    Work Conditions: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions required.

•    Additional Requirements: 
o    Must be eligible to receive medical command authorization by the Medical Director.
o    Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to any base site as assigned.
o    Must successfully complete the prescribed orientation program, including classroom training.
o    Ability to work productively and effectively in a complex environment, handle multiple and changing priorities, and operate specialized equipment.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances

•    Emergency Vehicle Operator (EMSVO) certification (North Central and Central PA allow completion within 90 days of hire).

•    Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required within 90 days of hire or transfer.

•    Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required within 90 days of hire or transfer.

•    International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) or equivalent required.

•    Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

•    Valid Driver's License.

•    Paramedic Certification.

•    Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting (with renewal).

•    Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance (with renewal).

•    Act 34 Criminal Clearance (with renewal).

•    Act 73 FBI Clearance (with renewal).
