Marketing Communications Manager

Overview: The Marketing Communications Manager defines the look, feel, and messaging for Seattle Chocolate Company's two brands across all marketing communications, and crafts a unique and intentional persona for each brand that consumers feel connected to. The ideal candidate will possess managerial capabilities, lead creative direction, and maintain discipline around consistent voice, look, and feel on all communication touch points.
Core duties and responsibilities:
Creative Direction
- Work with brand managers to provide overall creative direction for brands and company; including but not limited to brand guidelines, website, social media, PR, sales materials, and factory/flagship experience.
- Analyze and incorporate advertising and social creative results from Triple Whale and apply learnings to creative development.
- Contribute to creative direction for product designs.
Content
- Create and/or oversee creation of photography and video content, making sure each brand has its own unique look for Advertising, Social, Digital, Collateral, and Sales tools (including point of sale).
- Advertising
- Find and coordinate with external photographers, writing creative briefs and crafting mood boards to guide processes.
- Keep track of latest content trends and styles.
- Manage photography/video budget.
Digital
- Oversee all social media efforts, directing Social team in look, feel, voice and execution.
- Oversee influencer programs.
Design
- Oversee design of marketing emails across both brands, working with Director of Ecommerce.
- Design or oversee design of social media assets.
- Maintain brand books.
Brand Awareness
- Drive growth across all social media platforms.
- Oversee Awin or similar platform to ensure strategic, cost effective press coverage for the company, our CEO, and both brands.
- Respond to press inquiries, requests for appearances, brand or company participation in events.
Messaging
- Review messaging for both brands, including general copy and key talking points.
- Review/craft messaging for company statements or notes from our CEO, staying proactive in responses to current events and working with Marketing and PR team to identify any holes in communication.
- Maintain up-to-date copy for company and brand including About/History, CSR efforts, brand stories, etc.
- Brainstorm and guide ways to push the company/brand narrative when it comes to brand pillars like woman owned, giving back, etc.
- Oversee Social Media Team in maintaining consistent, on strategy content development and growing engagement with follower base.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $88, $92,000.00 per year
