**MANUFACTURING SHOP HELPER | AISC METAL FABRICATOR**

EDCO, INC. is a family-oriented manufacturing company seeking great people to join our team of talented engineers, fabricators, and machinists. EDCO provides a professional and fun environment working with a diversified set of customers, products, equipment, and manufacturing processes. An AISC Certified Fabricator, EDCO works with General Construction, Marine Construction, Renewable Energy, Aerospace and Defense, and other industries with a need for metal fabrication and specialized custom equipment.

We are looking for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working indoors and out. If you are a motivated self-starter, have excellent communication skills, and are dedicated, collaborative, professional, results-oriented, and reliable, we think you might be a great addition to our team and would love to learn more about you.

Responsibilities associated with the position, including shop safety, forklift & crane operation, shipping & receiving, deburring finished parts, machine maintenance, & cleaning/housekeeping in the shop and yard.

**Qualifications.**

  • Dependable, responsible, and reliable.
  • Mechanical aptitude with sound reasoning skills.
  • Experience working with power/air tools.
  • Ability to operate a Forklift.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and managers.
  • A flexible team player who can also work independently.
  • Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.
  • Safety conscious behavior.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License.
  • Specific Activities.** Activities include but not limited to:
  • Ensure shops are clean in appearance including removing trash and sweeping as required.
  • Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and completed work.
  • Cutting grass, stocking supplies, emptying garbage, unpacking delivered materials, and other general shop help.
  • Other duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience.**

  • High school or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment is desired but not required.
  • Physical Demands.** Ability to lift 50 pounds, work in an industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection and other appropriate protective clothing.
