IMMEDIATE POSITION AVAILABLE. Dance Teacher for Sherman Oaks

Dancekidz is looking for a professional, fun, bubbly, energetic dance teacher to travel to Preschools teaching ballet, hip hop and creative dance (large motor skills) to children ages mainly 2-6. We are also looking for teachers to work as an on call substitute dance teacher for schools in various areas. From Santa Clarita, Burbank, Woodland Hills, West Hills, Westlake and Simi Valley.

You will be provided with a syllabus, training and everything you need to teach a successful dance class. Must be CPR /FIRST AID certified or willing to obtain. Must be up to date on Immunization and COVID vaccinated. Higher hourly rate for those who have 12 ECE units.

A reliable car is a must, there will be travel involved. You will be compensated for mileage and travel between schools. We are looking for general availability throughout the week from 9-11am and 3:00-5:00pm (ish). DANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging dance curriculum tailored for preschool-aged children, focusing on ballet, hip hop and movement fundamentals.
  • Conduct dance classes that promote physical fitness, creativity, and self-expression in a safe environment.
  • Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Maintain First Aid and CPR certifications to ensure student safety.
  • Foster strong relationships with students and teachers, providing feedback on progress and encouraging participation in dance activities.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 15 per week
