Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Retail Furniture Sales Associate, where you will play a crucial role in creating inspiring shopping experiences for our customers You'll engage with clients, showcase our stunning furniture collections and help them find the perfect pieces to transform their homes. Your passion for customer service and sales will drive our success as you connect with shoppers and guide them through their purchasing journey. Sales Associates receive a base salary plus commission.

What you'll do

  • Engage customers with enthusiasm, providing exceptional service and support throughout their shopping experience.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, ensuring customers feel informed and excited about their choices.
  • Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and efficient checkout processes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and growth.
  • Assist with implementing effective merchandising strategies to create visually appealing displays that attract customers.
  • Assist in stocking inventory and maintaining organized showroom spaces to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Employ upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain strong communication skills over the phone and in-person, addressing customer inquiries with professionalism.

Basic qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in furniture or home goods.
  • Strong basic math skills to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience in a retail setting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with retail math concepts to analyze sales performance.
  • Bilingual abilities to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
