Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and residential construction sites using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation of piping and fixtures.
• Perform pipe threading, cutting, fitting, and assembly to create efficient plumbing layouts aligned with project specifications.
• Collaborate with carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate installation processes on-site.
• Conduct heavy lifting of materials such as pipes, fittings, and equipment safely and efficiently across construction areas.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot plumbing issues quickly and implement effective solutions during construction phases.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously while working at heights or in confined spaces; adhere to OSHA standards at all times.
• Assist with remodeling or renovation projects by dismantling existing systems and installing new plumbing infrastructure as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted for project documentation.
• Support site cleanup efforts and ensure all tools and materials are properly stored after use.

Skills

• Proven experience in construction plumbing with a strong understanding of plumbing codes and standards.
• Skilled in welding techniques relevant to pipe joining and system fabrication.
• Proficient with hand tools (wrenches, pipe cutters) and power tools (drills, saws) essential for installation tasks.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for precise execution.
• Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus for integrated building systems work.
• Capable of pipe threading, fitting, assembly, and troubleshooting complex piping networks.
• Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and layout planning.
• Experience with carpentry or maintenance person tasks that support plumbing installations or remodeling projects.
• Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks; comfortable working in physically demanding environments.
• Familiarity with schematics related to mechanical systems; ability to interpret technical diagrams effectively.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for transporting materials or equipment when required.
