Activities Assistant/CNA

The schedule will be 2 days in activities, and 3 days in nursing as a CNA (Day shift). Work will include an occasional Saturday.
We are looking for a certified CNA who can also assist in with our resident activities program. This position will assist the the Activities Director with the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each patient.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and assist with the activity programs of this facility for our residents.
- Work with the Activities Director/HR Director to coordinate activities with both residents and staff.
- Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary.
- Perform duties of a certified CNA in our resident halls as needed and available to work.
Education
- Must possess, a high school diploma or GED.
Experience
At least 1 year of activities planning or nursing home experience preferred.
The Maples is an EOE.
