Home Health Aide / Caregiver (12-Hour Shifts)

Location: Sterling Heights, MI

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (day and/or night)

Pay: Competitive – based on experience

About the Position

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Home Health Aide (HHA) or Caregiver to provide one-on-one care for an adult patient who receives 24/7 in-home caregiving support.

The ideal candidate will have experience with complex care needs, excellent communication skills, and a calm, patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend medical appointments with client
  • Monitor and report changes in the patient's physical or emotional condition to the supervising nurse or family
  • Communicate with family regarding needs of daily life like supplies and groceries
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment
  • Offer companionship and emotional support throughout the shift
  • Follow established care plans and routines set by medical staff and family
  • Assist with light housekeeping and laundry related to patient care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Home Health Aide (HHA) or equivalent experience
  • Experience caring for patients with neurological conditions or requiring continuous support
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and trustworthy demeanor

Schedule & Compensation

  • 12-hour shifts (day and night positions available)
  • Full-time and part-time openings
  • Competitive pay based on experience and certification level

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
